PCTO in Cmatic – Four beautiful experiences to learn “on site” in a company
We have just concluded a the professional training program for students called PCTO (school-work alternation). Four young students from the fourth year of high school, coming from two technical institutes in Brianza, took part in the initiative. They had the opportunity to engage in practical activities and tasks in the production departments, under the guidance of experienced senior operators.
Francesco Ratti, a student coming from the “IIS Jean Monnet Institute” in Mariano Comense, had an experience in the assembly department. Here are his words: “It’s my first time in a factory. It was a very interesting and useful opportunity for me. I also found a great group of people who welcomed me”.
Nicolò Tanzi, also from the same school, expressed satisfaction with the recently concluded path in the quality control department: “It was very helpful to start getting to know the world of work. Cmatic left a great impression on me”.
The other two protagonists of this initiative, El Mataoui Anass and Pietro Citterio, came from “ITIS E. Fermi Institute” in Desio. Both worked in the assembly department, dealing with those automated systems that bring our fittings to life. “It’s been a great experience, and I’ve met friendly colleagues. Even though I’m more interested in technical drawing, I learned things that will be very useful”, said Anass, while Pietro described it as “a very positive period with friendly and knowledgeable colleagues. I first got to know the machine tools and then assembly, learning a lot about how a company like this operates”.
Cmatic would like to thank our colleagues who guided the students throughout their journey: Luca Villa, under the coordination of Angelo Amati, as well as Andrea Porro, Andrea Ballabio, and Michele Quarato, under the coordination of Emilio Tiburzi. They also expressed satisfaction with the experience, emphasizing that everything took place in full compliance with safety and well-being regulations in the workplace, following the guidelines of ISO 45001:2018 certification on safety management systems and workers’ health prevention. Because Cmatic’s commitment to its present and future employees is always at the core of our work.
